Our Story
The Girl Gang Association was co-founded in 2021 by Susan Davis and Melissa Smith with one simple idea: women in business go further together. What started as a small South Shore circle has grown into a community of 100 members across wellness, real estate, food, finance, and beyond. Today, GGA is led by Susan, and the mission keeps growing: to support women in business at every stage.
Meet the womEn behind the Gang
Susan Davis, Co-Founder + Owner | SHD Marketing, Norwell, MA
Don't you look nice today! I'm Susan Davis, co-founder and owner of the Girl Gang Association and founder of SHD Marketing, a boutique agency helping small businesses grow with smart, beautiful marketing. I sharpened my skills over 15+ years at a Fortune 5 company, then built my own business — so I know firsthand how much it matters to have the right people in your corner. That's what GGA is all about. Integrity, hard work, and creativity are my hallmarks. I love to work and I love to have fun. And nothing is more fun than reaching a goal together.
Melissa Smith, HALE Bone Broth, Hanover, MA
Hi there, I’m Melissa Smith, and my mission is to empower and nurture women to live their best lives and to be happy, healthy members of The Tribe. As the VP of Training & Development of a privately owned Distribution Company, Owner of HALE Bone Broth, Co-Founder of Girl Gang Association, Co-Collaborator of Hope + Hale, and Founder of the Hanover Farmers Market, I am driven every day to help people and bring people together. Through my wildly popular HALE Bone Broth and sought-after Wellness Retreats and Workshops, this passion fuels me, often leaving my husband’s head spinning (sorry, not sorry, Chris!). The truth is, we all have an engaging story, and I created The HALE Life to help women come together to heal and nurture each other. Because together, we are unstoppable.
Perimenopause. Menopause. HRT. GLP-1s. Peptides. You've seen the headlines, scrolled the influencer takes, and compared notes with friends. Now get real answers from the physicians who treat these issues every day.
Join the Girl Gang Association for an evening of candid conversation where Susan Davis will lead a panel with two of the South Shore's most trusted physicians, Dr. Sherri Hinchey of Concierge MDs and Dr. Ruth Levesque of Crown OB/GYN, to separate what's hype from what actually helps.
Bring the questions you never get to ask in a rushed appointment. Leave with clarity, a few new connections, and a room full of women who get it.
This event is hosted by Alysia O'Brien, APRN, MSN, NP-C, at Compass Light Med Spa. This is an in-person event that will feature light refreshments and networking. Registration is required.
